Integration with 110,000 devices nationwide and 8 app services ... Providing top-level user infrastructure

2024년 1월 24일 수요일

GCOO, the number one personal mobility (PM) sharing service in the country, has launched an electric bicycle integration service through the Kakao T app.

GCOO operates approximately 110,000 electric bicycles and e-scooters, holding the number one market share in 16 metropolitan municipalities across the country. Since 2022, GCOO has been providing e-scooter sharing services via the Kakao T app, and now, through this integration, electric bicycles are also accessible via the Kakao T app. This partnership with Kakao Mobility is expected to significantly enhance accessibility to short-distance transportation for more users.

Kakao T app users can access GCOO services directly from the ‘Bike’ tab on the main screen without needing to register separately. This integration is anticipated to maximize the utility of GCOO electric bicycles as first-last mile mobility solutions, in connection with services like taxis and buses.

Additionally, when using GCOO devices through the Kakao T app, users receive services such as accident insurance, similar to using the original GCOO app. When riding a device, users are automatically enrolled in insurance with a maximum compensation limit of 150 million KRW* to cover accidents.

Jongsoo Yoon, CEO of GBike, which operates GCOO, stated, “We are very pleased to provide GCOO's electric bicycle services to more users through our cooperation with Kakao Mobility, which lowers the barriers to using short-distance transportation.” He added, “We will continue to enhance mobility convenience and offer safe and convenient mobility services through cooperation with various platforms.”

In addition to its app and the Kakao T app, GCOO also offers services on various platforms including Tmap, TmoneyGo, Toss, Hyundai's demand-responsive transport app 'Shucle', Gyeonggi-do's integrated transport platform 'Tokta', and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's K-MaaS service 'Super Move', boasting the best service app versatility in the industry.
