The Trendy Recruitment Process Unique to GCOO Bikes

If there's an industry that is changing as rapidly as the speed of new technological advancements, it would be the 'recruitment' sector. Companies must constantly strive to secure competitive talent to keep pace with the ever-changing trends. So, how should GCOO Bikes unearth talented individuals in this industry?

One day, I received a request from the company's HR team.

They asked me to create a webpage and images for the 2023 recruitment announcement.

Having never worked on a public recruitment project before, I gladly accepted. However, there were several concerns I had.

Firstly, I had no knowledge about public recruitment processes. Fortunately, I had a good relationship with an employee who was accepted in the first round of recruitment and was able to satisfy my curiosity about what they look for during applications. Another concern was the tight schedule against my ambition. I usually use a framework tool for webpage production, but this time I wanted to use 3D interactions, a trend that many companies are adopting. Of course, I had studied it briefly before, but it was so long ago that I hardly remembered anything.

Despite these issues, I was deeply grateful to the CFO who trusted and entrusted me with this task. It allowed me to gain valuable experience. Anyway, before starting the actual work, I first sketched out a rough plan. After that, I referred to relevant references, listed the necessary features, and started implementation right away. As expected, it was not easy. I faced many obstacles, especially with the 3D interactions, and progress was slow. Thankfully, team members actively offered their help. Without them, it may not have been possible to meet the deadline.

From implementing a responsive webpage to directing the main/sub images visually, I focused on working to give a light and creative feel, distinctly different from the typical recruitment pages. After researching and basing on references, I proceeded with the draft work. My colleagues were pleased, saying that I had well-incorporated my style into the results.

Conclusion of Recruitment

This recruitment was planned and worked out through the submission of applications on our own platform.

There must have been skepticism about why we needed to introduce a new system even to the point of changing from submitting resumes through Job Korea or Saramin to our platform. However, this approach allowed us to secure a large talent pool and gave individuals the freedom to express their abilities in any format, ultimately saving time and cost. With the help and encouragement of the team, GCOO Bikes successfully concluded the 2023 first-half public recruitment with a title of the highest number of applicants in history, earning accolades from peers for continuing a bold recruitment trend that is hard to find in the existing mobility industry and setting a new paradigm.

In the domestic mobility industry, the competition for recruiting talent for service expansion and sophistication is fierce. We hope that the Gcooter team will continue to garner much interest, becoming a standard in the battle for talent acquisition.
