GCOO, operating the electric scooter sharing service platform 'Gcooter', announced on the 28th that it has signed a business agreement with Hyundai Premium Outlet Daejeon for 'Improving the Culture of Shared Scooter Usage'.
When visiting Hyundai Outlet, it is encouraged to use the environmentally friendly transportation 'Gcooter' instead of cars to alleviate traffic congestion on nearby roads and reduce carbon emissions.
Through this agreement, a 'Gcooter Zone' will be installed at the east entrance of Hyundai Outlet Daejeon, where shared scooters can be rented and returned, expected to facilitate visitors' mobility, arrange the order of parked scooters on the road, and ensure the safety of pedestrians.
In addition, various events are also planned, including providing riding coupons for Gcooter to users who have friended Hyundai Outlet on KakaoTalk's 'Plus Friends'.
A representative from Hyundai Outlet said, "Hyundai Outlet hopes to position itself as a space where diverse experiences can be enjoyed beyond a shopping area, which is why we pursued collaboration with Gcooter," and added, "We'll continue to plan various projects that can create mutual synergy and bring joy to our customers."
GCOO's CEO, Jong-soo Yoon, expressed his pleasure, saying, "I am glad to expand our touchpoints with customers through this agreement," and stated, "Gcooter will faithfully perform its role as an alternative solution for urban traffic problems, and we will do our utmost to ensure device safety and service improvement."
Meanwhile, Gcooter recently launched the 'MEGA Transfer' feature that offers free unlocking costs for customers who ride more than twice a day in celebration of reaching 40 million cumulative rides, allowing them to re-ride within 12 hours after the end of their last ride without any limit on the number of times.
