G-Bike, which operates the personal mobility (PM) sharing platform GCOO, announced on the 20th that it has launched a personal mobility (PM) sharing service in Phuket, featuring electric bicycles, and will participate in Phuket's Green City Project.
Following its expansion into the USA last year, G-Bike has now entered Thailand and is currently operating in Bangkok, Surat Thani, Phatthalung, Phuket, Si Racha, and Songkhla.
On December 15 last year, a ceremony to celebrate the launch of GCOO in Phuket was held in the presence of government and private sector officials, including the vice-governor of Phuket, to promote the use of eco-friendly smart mobility. The agreement was attended by Asia's largest micro-mobility sharing service 'G-Bike,' Thailand's national telecom company 'National Telecome,' and Thailand's leading insurance company 'Dhipaya Insurance'.

NT's Representative Sapachai Huvanandana said, "We are pleased to work with companies that can accelerate the development of eco-friendly mobility in Thailand and create synergy." He added, "Through the 700MHz band network, we will actively support the services of GCOO, ensuring network efficiency across the connection."
Vice-President Suphak Phrueksawan of Dhipaya Insurance commented, "We are participating in providing insurance services for accidents and medical expenses to help eco-friendly shared mobility settle into the market more quickly," explaining that GCOO's electric bicycles and PM users are automatically signed up when they ride. "Insurance compensation is available for drivers in the event of an accident or injury during the ride or if they cause damage to third-party property; moreover, we operate a customer service center that is available 24 hours in case of an accident."
G-Bike CEO Yoon Jong-Soo said, "As we face global climate change, efforts for carbon neutrality have become more imperative than ever." He expressed his pride in joining Thailand's transition to eco-friendly mobility for carbon neutrality and stressed, "The foundation of shared mobility innovation lies in reliable communication infrastructure and the commercialization of technologies that ensure safety." He emphasized the need for NT's advanced communication infrastructure to provide fast and efficient mobility services and Dhipaya's insurance to ensure the safety of drivers. He concluded, "We will strengthen our cooperation and further strive to fulfill our shared mission of carbon neutrality and enhancing the transportation convenience and safety of citizens."
