South Korea and Luxembourg celebrate 60 years of diplomatic relations. If we were talking about a person, it would be their 60th birthday!

Despite its small population of 640,000, Luxembourg has become a wealthy country with a GDP per capita of 70,000 dollars, focusing heavily on finance and new businesses.

Luxembourg is a constitutional monarchy where, as far as I know, the Grand Duke also serves as the Prime Minister.

The Crown Prince of Luxembourg, Prince Guillaume (akin to a Crown Prince in our terms), visited South Korea with an economic delegation.

In Luxembourg, public transportation is free, and there seems to be a desire to include micro-mobility as part of this system.

Prince Guillaume personally requested the inclusion of GCOO, a leading micro-mobility company in our country, at the Korea-Luxembourg Mobility Forum. At the forum, Prince Guillaume, Luxembourg's Minister of the Economy and our own Minister of SMEs and Startups Lee Young gave opening remarks.

Although I was worried about my English skills, the quote 'content over speaker' reassured me... The audience showed great interest in the message delivered by GCOO. The moderator inquired whether GCOO has plans to evolve into a super-app, and GCOO replied that they have started their journey towards entering the food pickup market, community-linked services, and battery sharing service. After the forum, another participant remarked that Luxembourg is considering the need for battery stations to start their own services, and they see GCOO as having a good solution.

I feel like we're taking one more step towards leaping from being number one in Korea and Asia to number one in the world.

(That's me sitting third from the right, holding the script tightly, haha! The Four Seasons hotel was really nice! How wonderful it would be if we could have GCOO's end-of-year meeting here.)

Below is an article related to the forum.

[Editor's Note] The economic delegation from Luxembourg, led by His Royal Highness Prince Guillaume Jean Joseph Marie and Minister of the Economy Franz Fayot, has arrived in South Korea. They are expected to discuss avenues for collaboration with South Korea in areas like space industry, smart cities, and environmental technology. A notable point is that they plan to identify and meet with startups. With government-level investment reviews also planned, market interest in collaboration strategies is expected to rise. Delving into how Luxembourg seeks to collaborate with startups, The Bell aims to provide insights.
