Hello, I'm Kkobi, the leader of the GCOO UX team. Today, I'd like to share some stories with colleagues from around the world who have been pondering and growing together with us on our projects.

We have patiently waited for the planning documents to dry and endured until the design colors faded, stacking only the confirmed files. Six months later, when the development begins, there's a feeling of regret when the plans and designs no longer match the current market... 😢

While requesting a MacBook upgrade recently, I reflected on the tools, languages, and frameworks I've used in the past six months, and to my surprise, they were more diverse than I imagined. This realization was the starting point for this blog post.

The significance of these tools and languages goes beyond just the level of technology we use; it's about understanding 'why' we use them and 'how' to effectively utilize them. Even more crucial was the judgment of when to use which tool. The right choice at the right time can be a key factor in significantly elevating the quality of the outcome.

So now, I am paying more attention to applying tools and technologies that align with the lifecycle of the project. Even within ever-changing markets and technological environments, my team and I strive to continuously develop and grow, which is the most important part of my work. I wanted to share this experience with all of you who are growing together.

Design Tools: Tools that Turn Imagination and Creativity into Reality

Figma: A platform that allows designers and planners to collaborate, visualize ideas, and test them as prototypes. It enhances planning abilities and creativity through visualizing and verifying ideas in real-time.

Framer: A tool for interactive design and prototyping that allows quick simulation of real user experiences, enhancing usability. One notable benefit of Framer is that it allows simultaneous planning, design, and development before script coding, optimizing UX in the process and streamlining everything all at once.

Photoshop: The latest AI tools enable us to easily and conveniently transform imagination into images. Complex tasks can be completed with just a few clicks, boasting efficiency.

Illustrator: A vector-based graphic design tool that allows for the creation of sharp and meticulous artworks, enhancing the quality of the design.

MidJourney AI: Enables easy design of everything from icons to logos and character images in the style of your choice. Its intuitive interface makes complex tasks much simpler.

Stable Diffusion: Offers high creative freedom in AI design work with the composition and style you want. It is a powerful tool that enables unlimited creative expression.

3D Tools: Exploring and Creating a Three-Dimensional World

Blender: A comprehensive software for 3D modeling, animation, and rendering that allows you to construct realistic 3D worlds.

Spline: An easy-to-use tool for studying and producing 3D design and motion, accessible even for beginners, allowing everyone to explore the world of 3D design.

KeyShot: Produces high-quality creations with realistic designs and allows fine-tuning during the rendering process for more vibrant results.

Development Tools: The Unending Journey Toward Innovation and Performance

Languages: The Foundation and Launchpad

React: A preferred library for building user interfaces which boosts maintenance and scalability through its component-based architecture.

React Native: A framework for mobile app development that enables execution across different platforms with a single development effort.

Typescript: A static type support extension for JavaScript, enhancing stability and scalability.

Python: A versatile programming language that allows the writing of powerful features in succinct code, utilized across various fields such as data analysis, web development, and automation.

Node.js: A server-side JavaScript execution environment that enables efficient server implementation based on its asynchronous I/O capabilities.

Frameworks and Other Tools: Realizing Innovation and Efficiency

Next.js: A React framework that supports server rendering, optimizing both user experience and performance.

Vercel: A cloud platform that simplifies the entire process from development to deployment, enhancing productivity.

Postgres Database: An object-relational database that provides stable performance and scalability.

redis: An in-memory data store offering quick response times and flexible structures.

GPT4 + Langchain (Python, JavaScript): A powerful combination for natural language processing and machine learning, enabling intelligent services.

tailwindcss: A utility-based CSS framework for quickly building responsive designs.

Firebase: An all-in-one platform for mobile and web app development, allowing various services to be implemented without the complexities of backend management.

Google Analytics: Offers insights to improve marketing and user experience by analyzing website traffic and user behavior.

NextAuth.js: An authentication library that simplifies user management and strengthens security.

The various tools, languages, and frameworks I've mentioned have been a part of my daily work over the past six months. Each has its unique features and strengths, and using them appropriately can revolutionize the quality and efficiency of our projects.

However, it's important to understand that simply using a multitude of tools doesn't guarantee the desired outcome. It is only by deeply understanding the characteristics of each tool and choosing and utilizing them based on the actual needs of the project that true value can be realized. Tools are just that—tools. It's how you use them that unwraps the key to success.

The tools you have reflect your uniqueness. It's crucial to choose wisely and use them intelligently.

Also, there's no saying that 'a good tool makes a good carpenter.' Rather, 'a good carpenter makes a good tool.' If you find the right tools for your tasks, continuously practice and use them well, you too will become an important 'carpenter' in your projects.
